SupplySide Supplement Journal
Editorial art direction + visual storytelling for the health & nutrition industry
4.5 years · 50+ issues · 2 brand evolutions · end-to-end design
As Senior Content Designer, I lead the visual design of SupplySide Supplement Journal, a B2B publication covering the science, innovation and business of supplements and nutrition. Working within an accelerated editorial cycle, I concept covers, establish visual direction and design each issue from cover to final page—translating complex scientific and industry topics into clear, engaging visual stories.

Establishing a visual language for each issue
Every issue begins with a visual direction that translates the editorial theme into a cohesive photography and image language. I develop mood boards that establish imagery, color, composition and tone before moving into cover and editorial design.

Cover concepting
One brief. Multiple directions. One day to concept.
Brief: Create a compelling cover for an issue exploring the next wave in brain health. Use imagery that evokes the complexity of the brain and the natural ingredients and technologies driving innovation in the category.
Interior pages
The subject matter ranges from clinical research and ingredient science to emerging consumer trends and market intelligence. My role is to make complex information feel accessible without stripping away its credibility—using hierarchy, imagery, typography and visual metaphors.
